Laika Space Dog

Laika (1954 November 3) was the first animal to go into space and enter the orbit. This Soviet dog was launched in the Sputnik 2 and died in the Sputnik. Some believed that the conditions of the launch and space would kill humans which is why they used Laika. So Laika's death was predicted and was the first to die in orbit. Laika died of overheating but led the road for astronomers to continue there journey in space.
